The Okaya Art and Archaeological Museum holds various special exhibitions and events throughout the year as a space to convey the culture and art of Okaya City and its residents. The museum is a facility open to all that includes an art exhibition room displaying the artwork of artists born and raised in Okaya City and an archaeological exhibition room displaying valuable artifacts from various ruins in Okaya City, including an ancient earthenware bowl from the Kaito Ruins that is a designated cultural property of Japan. It also has a special exhibition room that can be used as a gallery by local residents.
